@Iratetion – #metal from Venezuela

Being driven towards creating their own music, the Millano brothers did just that. Brothers Ismael and Ghork started writing for a project that didn’t have a name at the time. While one brother was living in Venezuela and the other in New Jersey, the desire of writing became reality. They began to create music in a way many musicians do these days with the help of sending files to each other over the internet.

Ismael handled duties of guitars/bass/vocals so they could be layered over Ghork’s drum recordings that were sent fron Venezuela. Later on,an old friend from Venezuela named Eduardo Escalante joined in on the project to handle bass duties. Not long afterward, the project was soon to be named Iratetion.

The recording sessions took place with Christian Machado and Laz Pina of Ill Nino at Soundwars Studios in New Jersey. Six songs have been recorded for a debut ep titled Motionless Decay. These song titles are Cold Refuge,Dazing Truth,Motionless Decay,Drill The Veins,Point Blank Rhetoric and Path To Hatred. 2011 will see a release of the Motionless Decay ep.
The current 2011 line-up is Ismael Millano,Ghork,Marcos Medina and Luis Acevedo

GRAVEWORM – Symphonic black metal

GRAVEWORM – Symphonic black metal band with strong influences from gothic metal (especially on older albums). Originating from Bruneck, Italy, they formed in 1992

Before Graveworm even released a demo, they were signed by Serenades Records after a performance close to their hometown of Bruneck (Brunico), northern Italy. Graveworm was signed to Serenades Records in 1997, releasing their first EP, Eternal Winds, in that same year. During their first tour together with Crematory, Therion and Lake of Tears, the band promoted the album When Daylight’s Gone.

In 1998, the EP Underneath the Crescent Moon was released, featuring Sarah Jezebel Deva (Cradle of Filth, Therion) in the track “Awake…Thy Angels Of Sorrow”. Graveworm also performed at the Wacken Open Air (Germany) with bands such as Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth and Vader.

The second album As the Angels Reach the Beauty was finished in 1999, and followed by a European tour with Agathodaimon. Scourge of Malice was released in 2001, which allowed the band their first headlining tour together with Dornenreich, Vintersorg and Darkwell. In 2002, they changed to the German Nuclear Blast label. At this point, Didi Schraffel (bass) left the band and Harry Klenk (guitars) was replaced by Eric Treffel. Treffel soon left the band in the same year and was replaced by Eric Righi on guitar.

Together with Righi, they produced Engraved in Black, which was finished in 2003, and enhanced with a feature of R.E.M.‘s “Losing My Religion“. Shortly after the release, Stefan Unterpertinger (guitar) quit and Lukas Flarer joined the band. Also, Harry Klenk, former guitarist and now bassist, re-joined the band.

In 2004, Graveworm played on the X-Mass Festival tour together with Destruction, Kataklysm, and many others. Martin Innerbichler (drums) took a break to study and was temporarily replaced by Moritz Neuner (previously the Darkwell and Shadowcast drummer).

The album (N)utopia was released in 2005.

Lukas Flarer (guitarist) later left the band for personal reasons, and was replaced by Orgler “Stirz” Thomas.

In 2006, Graveworm embarked on a North American tour with Kataklysm, Destruction, The Absence, and Vader.

On April 10, 2007, the promo of the latest Graveworm album, Collateral Defect, was leaked on the web. The album was launched in Europe on May 25 via Massacre Records and June 5 in North America through Nuclear Blast. It was produced by Andy Classen at Stage One studios in Borgentreich, Germany.

Graveworm’s album Diabolical Figures was released on June 19, 2009 and features Karsten Jäger as a guest musician.

@NEVERMOREband – Inside Four Walls (live at Le Phare) – 03/01/2011

NEVERMORE who will be playing @ Wild Metal Fest Cancun Oper Air 2011…

In the heavy metal community many writers toss around the monikers “legend” and “genre defying” to describe many bands, but these terms have never been more accurate if they are referring to NEVERMORE, who have perfectly carved out their own unique niche over the past 15 years of dominance. This group’s sound encompasses every element of the metal spectrum and is like no other band within their genre. They have played everywhere across the world to over hundreds of thousands of people and after all this time they have never been more determined, focused and powerful than they are now.

One always says that you can’t rush greatness or perfection, and this couldn’t be more true in the case of NEVERMORE, who last released the highly acclaimed This Godless Endeavor in 2005. The Seattle quartet have triumphantly returned with the much anticipated new full-length release, The Obsidian Conspiracy, which is what could be their most impressive offering of their illustrious, decade plus, heralded career.

The Obsidian Conspiracy was recorded with renowned producer Peter Wichers (who previously worked with NEVERMORE vocalist Warrel Dane on his solo debut Praises to the War Machine). Longtime friend and collaborator Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Opeth) once again handled mixing duties. The captivating and dynamic coverart was once again created by the great Travis Smith (Amorphis, Opeth).

Over the years, NEVERMORE constantly evolved while developing into one of the world’s most remarkable and inimitable metal acts uniting progressive technique, charismatic vocals, thought-provoking lyrics and thrashing impact. This progression is most evident on The Obsidian Conspiracy as it is an epic journey through the pantheon of metal taking the listener on an introspective ride of emotions and could be best described as more of a soundtrack to the senses.

This quintessential metal band was formed out of the ashes of Seattle, Washington, based thrash act Sanctuary in 1991 by Dane and Jim Sheppard (bass), with the addition of Jeff Loomis (guitar, who had played in the final line-up of Sanctuary) and Mark Arrington on drums. A few years later, Van Williams joined the band (drums). The band has since released six full-length albums, toured the world a number of times and captivated the hearts of metalheads touring with such diverse and major acts ranging from Megadeth, In Flames, Disturbed, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir and Children of Bodom, among countless others.

In 2010, the mighty NEVERMORE have returned to reclaim their spot atop the heap of the metal world and prove that they have truly crafted an album of excellence.
